Earlier this week, we learned that former Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien will be leading Canada to the next Spengler Cup. It will be a return to the bench for the 61-year-old.
However, according to Elliotte Friedman, the Vancouver Canucks could strongly consider Julien as a potential head coach for the team.
Travis Green, the Canucks' current head coach, is said to be in the ejector seat, his days in British Columbia are numbered.
The Canucks are in a very difficult sequence, hence their 27th place overall in the NHL. They have a lot of potential, but Travis Green doesn't seem to be able to take this team to the next level. A change behind the bench may come sooner rather than later.
