In the latest episode of the "32 Thoughts" podcast, junior hockey expert Jeff Marek revealed a major piece of information.

As you know, the fact that the Regina Pats did not trade Connor Bedard to a team with real chances of making it to the Memorial Cup this season, did not sit well with the hockey world.

And while the Pats are currently surprising in the playoffs, 100% thanks to Bedard, we just learned some good news.

«We have learned that Connor Bedard did not want to be traded to the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL.»

So he had the opportunity!

But the young Bedard wanted to be extremely loyal to his team, the Pats, and that's all to his credit. It says a lot about him and we love it.

Friedman and Marek explained that WHL players have a choice in trades (whether they accept them or not).

Bedard wanted to be loyal to his "less good" team, when he could have joined the league's best team and almost guaranteed himself a Memorial Cup.

This is really something!
