While the topic of the team's first pick continues to dominate the headlines, the same can also be said about trade rumors and as reported by the Gohabsgo.com website, a well-known tipster has gone ahead and made his predictions regarding two Habs players.
David Pagnotta, a reporter for The Fourth Period, was on TSN 690 and mentioned that he expects Jeff Petry to be traded before the start of next season and that Josh Anderson will stay with the Habs.
In the case of the American defenseman, Pagnotta mentioned that his value was good because some teams have shown interest in him in recent weeks. Moreover, according to Pagnotta, there is a good chance that a trade will take place a few days after the opening of free agency market rather than at the draft.
As for Josh Anderson, the informant recalled that Kent Hughes likes his power forward a lot and that the phone had been ringing a lot lately to find out his availability for a possible trade. However, Pagnotta remains convinced that the number 17 will stay with the Habs, unless an incredible offer is made.
That being said, there will certainly be other changes within the organization this summer and the new Habs staff will still have a lot of work to do between now and the beginning of the next season.
