When you watch a Montreal Canadiens game, you always wonder what kind of performance the team will leave on the ice. Even before the wave of injuries occurred, the players on the roster didn't seem to put the pedal to the metal.
Some nights, some players are just taking it easy, let's face it, the real deal.
Maybe Dominique Ducharme's message just isn't getting through? But why?

Remember, Dominique Ducharme and Jonathan Drouin have a special relationship, even more friendly than usual. The kind of situation that could displease the team...
"His relationship with Drouin has painted him into a corner. Some nights he was on the power play when he shouldn't have been. Did that take away some of his respect? No, because guys are capable of doing some of the things, but you should never have a relationship with a player. You don't want it to show in front of others."
So Dominique Ducharme would have shot himself in the foot by having a close relationship with number 92. Maybe the players don't want to play for him anymore, after all. It's one thing to be nice, but favoritism rarely makes it to the board...
