COVID-19 cases are on the extreme rise in the NHL, especially with the arrival of the Omicron variant.

This kind of situation is quietly starting to scare players, who must necessarily feel very unprotected by the league right now.
Earlier in the day, CH alumni Nick Cousins picked up on the NHL's stubbornness to continue its operations.
Obviously, forward Jonathan Drouin seems to be going the same way as the Nashville Predators player.
After the win of his team, Drouin was called to talk about the situation that currently prevails in the NHL. He admitted that he was not really comfortable playing against the Boston Bruins this Saturday, considering the cases of COVID-19 that have developed in the team.
Drouin has never been afraid to speak his mind to reporters and you could tell he wanted to be heard. While the NHL likely doesn't want to shut down for x amount of reasons, they should greatly consider the opinions of their players and their well-being.
See his entire statement:
Number 92 has spoken out with pride and he is not wrong in what he said, in my opinion.
