Huge rumor currently spreading about the Canadiens: Renaud Lavoie made an announcement
Last night on BPM Sports, the excellent journalist Martin Leclerc made a statement that generated a lot of reactions.
"Jeff Gorton would probably not refuse to return to the role of general manager in another organization." - Martin Leclerc
A big rumor has been circulating since then, suggesting that Jeff Gorton is currently bored in Montreal.
This has indeed led to numerous speculations about a possible imminent departure of Jeff Gorton (and his resignation from the Habs).
Details here:
However, in the last few minutes, once again on BPM Sports, journalist Renaud Lavoie said this:
"Our collaborator Renaud Lavoie wanted to set the record straight regarding Jeff Gorton's intentions. He referred to Nick Kypreos' article.
He confirms that the VP is in Montreal to stay."
BPM Sports
"I can confirm that Jeff Gorton is not going anywhere."
Renaud Lavoie
Renaud announces that these rumors are unfounded and that Gorton will remain with the Montreal Canadiens. This is good news! Let's hope he's right.
