With many rumors circulating right now, including the New Jersey Devils' second overall pick and the Montreal Canadiens' first overall pick, we finally have some interesting comments.

New Jersey reporter Ryan Novozinsky recently spoke, over the phone, with CH GM Kent Hughes and reported the following, among other things:

Really interesting. Since Novozinsky covers the Devils, you can guess that he also brought up the subject of a possible trade between the two teams.

He clearly asked Kent Hughes if he had any negotiations with New Jersey, regarding the second overall pick.

Could the CH get the 1st AND 2nd overall, as Maxim Lapierre suggested? See the general manager's answer :

"I don't want to talk about the Devils, out of respect for general manager Tom Fitzgerald. I'm only going to say that we haven't had any discussions in order to trade our own pick."

Again, really interesting response. First we learn here that the CH will obviously keep their first overall pick, and Hughes has not had any discussions to trade him.

However, Hughes did not want to deny the rumors that he could possibly go after the Devils' pick. He simply said that his first overall pick is not in the discussion.

In any case, if the fans have been thinking about it, it's certain that Montreal GM have been thinking about it as well, so don't be surprised if they try.

What would you offer the Devils for their second overall pick?

If you were Kent Hughes, would you try to get their pick, to pick 1st AND 2nd?
