Last night, we witnessed a truly magical and beautiful moment, live from the Bell Centre, as the Montreal Canadiens organization paid a moving tribute to the great Guy Lafleur.

Afterwards, the CH fans took control of the evening with a monster ovation lasting more than 10 minutes. (10minutes10 according to the official operating team, which is incredible for the mythical #10)
This is the second longest ovation in the history of the glorious franchise:
Another attention-grabber was that Bell Centre's in-house announcer Michel Lacroix was interrupted three times, by the crowd, as he tried to get a moment of silence and regain control of the ceremony.
On three occasions, the crowd flatly refused to end the ovation and completely buried the house announcer. It was definitely part of the magic of the evening. We will remember it for a very long time.
In response to this, the Montreal Canadiens' in-house announcer, Michel Lacroix, just released a message for CH fans:
"I would have been very disappointed if you had not interrupted me to pay tribute to Guy Lafleur. With respect, you have once again demonstrated that you are the best fans in the world. Thank you." - Michel Lacroix
Very well said, bravo Mr. Lacroix! The best announcer!
What a night!
