Several observers noted that Sean Monahan seemed to be bothered by a little something, a discomfort, last night against the Colorado Avalanche.

And well it's confirmed.

He is absent from today's practice to benefit from a treatment day. An injury to Monahan would be catastrophic for Kent Hughes, ahead of the trade deadline, but we are far from there.

However, there is still an injury to announce. That of Jesse Ylonen.

See the announcement of the Canadiens:

"Forward Sean Monahan and Jesse Ylönen will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)."

- Montreal Canadiens

In the case of Monahan, there is no indication that it is serious, but in the case of Ylonen, he is truly injured, having not finished yesterday's game.

If Martin St-Louis truly loses Ylonen (injury), this gap could simply be filled by the imminent return to play of Tanner Pearson.

Ylonen, 24 years old, has accumulated 7 points in 36 games this season.

Monahan, 29 years old, has accumulated 25 points in 43 games this season.

Cases to watch.
