As reported by former Montreal Canadiens scout Grant McCagg, in tonight's game between the CH rookies and the New Jersey Devils, the broadcast team reportedly revealed a major piece of information about Juraj Slafkovsky.

His rookie tournament would be over! This is to be taken with a grain of salt, but if it is confirmed, it would be major.

We were talking about this possibility earlier this week:

We have many questions and few answers at the moment, but we will keep you informed.

Remember that this is not confirmed by the CH, but it was clearly mentioned by the New Jersey Devils descriptor, so we'll pass the information on to you.

As for the Brady Tkachuk file, let's recall the very interesting anecdote told by Renaud Lavoie (TVA Sports) earlier this week.

After seeing him play only one game in the rookie tournament (in 2018), Ottawa Sens general manager Pierre Dorion decided himself to expel Brady Tkachuk from the competition.

He went down to the room and said:

"You, you don't play anymore, you have no business here, you're too good for the rookies, we'll see you at NHL camp."

And that ended the competition for Brady Tkachuk, who clearly has similarities to Slafkovsky at the same age.

So if Slafkovsky is indeed removed from the competition, that could indeed be good news. Let's just hope it's not injury related.

More details will follow!
