As we finish dissecting the interesting press conference of the day of Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin, he has just revealed his goal, his intentions, for the upcoming season:
"For me, my goal is really to stay healthy, and to be consistent. I think I had a good start to the season last year, but I wasn't able to stay healthy. So my goal is to stay healthy and be happy.
Both of my wrists are operated on, so I shouldn't have any problems on that side."
- Jonathan Drouin
CONSISTENT AND HEALTHY
Those are really the two themes here, because he mentioned them a lot and he really emphasized those points. Those are clearly his two main goals.
Drouin also added that he hopes to settle his contract situation, starting this season, and he knows that in order to do that, he has to impress his new management.
Unfortunately, he has not yet had the opportunity to show them all his skills, and in this regard, he expressed a regret.
"I really should have had surgery in January. That way I could have played a month (under Martin St. Louis), to finish the season with the new management and the new coaching staff. It's going in the right direction and I can't wait to get on board with it all."
- Jonathan Drouin
You can tell he's really looking forward to it, anyway, and it's nice to see! For all the details :
