With the famous NHL trade deadline approaching (which is exactly a week away), talks are heating up between the various general managers.

One of the teams that should be active is the Montreal Canadiens, who will be among the «sellers».

Among the players who could change address by next Monday, we have Ben Chiarot and Artturi Lehkonen, who are at the top of the list. Concerning Chiarot precisely, the interest is very present in the NHL and one of the very interested teams, since the very beginning, is the Florida Panthers.

They actively want to acquire the Canadians defender Chiarot. Conversely, the Habs evaluates, with the help of Vincent Lecavalier, the interesting players in Florida. Lecavalier has attended several Panthers games, in person, and he assesses their young players very closely.

Speaking of young Panthers players, according to the renowned David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Owen Tippett would be targeted by the Montreal formation.

The 23-year-old Tippett is an excellent power forward. He is six feet and one inch tall and weighs 207 pounds.

Since joining the NHL, Tippett has 33 points in 94 games. This is the tenth overall pick of the 2017 draft. (drafted three spots ahead of Nick Suzuki)

He is currently very dominant in the AHL, having accumulated an impressive total of 18 points in 12 games. And, unlike some other names floating around, Tippett is indeed available on the trade market. The Panthers are open to trading him.

The information has been confirmed by several very credible sources.

Is he a player you would like to see arrive in Montreal, against Ben Chiarot?
