At just 14 years old, the young woman dominated the Under-18 Women's World Hockey Championship last January.
The one who was eventually named the player of the tournament finished with a harvest of 10 goals and 9 assists in just 5 games. She even scored this magnificent goal:
The young woman repeated on February 26, her 15th birthday. She finished her game with 10 goals and 9 assists to allow VLCI Zilina to slaughter the Kosice team 24 to 1.
That's not all. Lopusanova also plays in a U16 men's league in Slovakia. She finished 13th in the league's scoring with a harvest of 24 goals and 32 assists for a total of 56 points. That's 35 points less than the leader (who had 91), but Nela played 13 fewer games than him!
She's coming to North America!
The young woman will indeed soon make the leap to North America, as she will play this season with the Bishop Kearney Selects at the 19U AAA level. It will be interesting to see what she can do in this all-female team.
As a bonus, here's an incredible goal that the Slovak recently scored in the World Selects Invitational Playoffs held in Prague!
Remember, she's so talented that some see her possibly attracting the attention of NHL teams, but let's wait and see.
Let's give her a chance to develop, and in any case, we haven't heard the last of her. Even if she doesn't reach the professional male ranks, she will certainly be a generational talent on the women's side, and that would be extraordinary to follow in the coming years.
