A major development regarding his health condition.
As reported by my colleague Alex Desrosiers (Rumeursdetransaction.com), Drouin is already back in action.
Recall that Jo Drouin underwent surgery on his right wrist last April after trying to play through the pain, and that surgery obviously ended his 2021-22 season.
This week, with more than a month to go before the Habs' training camp starts, Drouin is back in action and will be participating in week 4 of the AHL, a 3-on-3 league that brings together several NHL players.
He will play with Kris Letang, Derick Brassard, Jonathan Huberdeau, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Julien Gauthier.
The games in this league are pretty well covered, so we should have some news about Drouin soon, but according to the information we have, he is 100% and he seems ready to attack the next season with strength and confidence.
We love it! This will be a good test for his wrist.
Drouin, 27, has 20 points in 34 games in 2021-22. He's still young and we're looking forward to seeing him play under Martin St-Louis' guidance.
More details to follow!
