The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-season, $950,000 contract with Quebec forward Mathieu Perreault.
Mathieu Perreault will finally realize his childhood dream of being able to put on the Red-White-Blue uniform.
The Drummondville native just spent the last seven seasons of his career with the Winnipeg Jets.
He joins David Savard and Cédric Paquette as Quebec players who are expected to play for the Habs next year.
Perreault, 33, is a versatile player who can play both wing and center. He has 344 points, including 139 goals, in 683 games with the Capitals, Ducks and Jets.
