We just learned that the Ottawa Sens have concluded a monster trade with the Chicago Blackhawks, as young forward Alex DeBrincat is traded for picks #7 and #39 overall. (among others)
Wow! Check out the full trade:
Chicago:
7th overall pick
39th overall pick
2024 - Third round pick
To Ottawa:
Alex DeBrincat
This is big and will have a direct impact on the Montreal Canadiens, who were in the running to acquire this famous seventh overall pick from the Sens.
The chances of Josh Anderson being traded have obviously just dropped a bit, while Ottawa was really interested. In any case, we can forget about trading him for the seventh pick.
