With the crappy season the Montreal Canadiens are going through, the odds of getting the first overall pick at the next amateur draft are very high. The one who is seen as the next first overall pick is Shane Wright. According to the odds, the Canadiens have 12.1% chances of selecting Wright.
The CH is therefore in the second rank of the current ratings, while the Arizona Coyotes are at the top with a percentage of 25.7%. Yes, André Tourigny is installing something, but this organization is currently living in total ambiguity because of its future residence.
The Ottawa Senators complete the top-3 with 10.1% of chances. Imagine if Wright were to end up with the Sens, who already own a nice bunch of young people, it would become even more magical within this club.
In short, while waiting for Wright to be selected by an NHL roster, we have the chance to contemplate him at the World Junior Championship, which began Sunday night (December 26).
