One final important announcement confirmed before General Manager Kent Hughes' vacation?
After the recent official announcements by the Montreal Canadiens, including the signings of Nicolas Beaudin and Lucas Condotta, there is technically only one remaining matter for General Manager Kent Hughes to resolve before he goes on a well-deserved vacation for a few weeks.
The player left to sign is Jesse Ylonen, who played several games in the NHL last season.
Ylonen, 23 years old, was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was drafted 35th overall in 2018.
He recorded 16 points in 37 games last season with the Montreal Canadiens and 32 points in 39 games with the Laval Rocket.
Ylonen is currently still a restricted free agent.
The big question at the moment is whether he will sign a one- or two-way contract. He should aim for a similar contract to the one signed by Rafael Harvey-Pinard.
This is the last official matter on Kent Hughes' table, apart from potential trades and/or negotiations with unrestricted free agents.
Stay tuned for updates on this matter.
