Patrick Roy is no longer a "king" in the eyes of fans
Is Patrick Roy really a candidate on Geoff Molson's roster? That said, following the "king" public outing on Tuesday, it is doubtful that Molson would want to meet with him. Frankly, I don't think that what he said helped his cause with Geoff Molson, who doesn't seem to have any chemistry with the former number 33.
That said, many people dream of seeing Roy as general manager of the Montreal Canadiens. However, those people, those who adore or adulated him, are starting to diminish, if a poll filed by the 91.9 Sports Twitter account is to be believed.
When asked "Do you think Patrick Roy would work as the Habs general manager?", 52% of respondents do not want to see Patrick Roy take over the helm of the CH under the current conditions. Conditions where there is a "boss" on top of the next Montreal GM.
On the other hand, it is important to point out to fans that Roy is a team player, much more so than one might think. He is not the type to want to take all the space, as many may claim.
In short, the Montreal Canadiens must meet the man who gave them their last Stanley Cup in 1993. The team must do its homework and among this list, we must find the following element: meet Patrick Roy. I'm not saying he has to get the job, but he has to have a dialogue with Jeff Gorton.
