The least we can say is that it is not unanimous among fans, especially those of the Montreal Canadiens, while some are not afraid to tell Geoff Molson:
Will there be an ad on the mythical Blue-White-Red jersey when the team plays its first game of the season in a few weeks?
We still don't have the answer, and there has been no official announcement, but we got an interesting hint today.
NO ADVERTISING ON THE HABS' JERSEY?
Juraj Slafkovsky and several other very promising youngsters were in Washington today as part of the 12th annual NHL Players' Association showcase, and Slafkovsky was finally spotted wearing his full Canadiens uniform. The result is beautiful to behold:
You notice that there is NO advertising on the kid's jersey.
This doesn't confirm that the Montreal Canadiens have decided to keep their game jersey intact, and not put ads on it this season, but it's a clue.
But it's a clue. Why? Because other NHL teams did not hesitate to "announce their colors", and to take advantage of this event to unveil their new 2022-23 jerseys, with the famous ads.
Here are a few examples, which made people react.
Dylan Guenther (Arizona):
Hendrix Lapierre (Capitals):
Samuel Poulin (Penguins):
To be continued, but it's promising for the CH. Would you be disappointed if there was an ad on the official Habs game jersey?
