The connection is obvious to make considering that this is the former team for which Jeff Gorton was the general manager and that he knows the majority of the players in the organization.
This year, the Rangers are part of the formations that will do everything to improve for the playoffs and the New York team would have in its sights certain players of the Canadian .
While several rumors are sending Canucks forward J.T. Miller to the Rangers, David Shapiro of the Blue Seat site believes that the Rangers would be a lot more active in acquiring assets from the Canadian. A Habs-Rangers trade would be a lot more imminent.
Among the young players in the organization who could be used as bargaining chips are forwards Filip Chytil and Vitali Kravstov.
These two players were first-round picks for Jeff Gorton and we had already told you about the possibility that Kent Hughes could acquire Kravstov. As for Chytil, he recently returned from injury but Rangers manager Gerard Gallant hasn't included him in the roster, which may hint that his days in New York could be counted.
It will be interesting to follow this file in the coming weeks, as the deadline for transactions is fast approaching.
Would it be two targets that you would like?
