Among the teams that surprise this season in the NHL, there is certainly the Anaheim Ducks.

The California team had a great start to the season, but despite a slight downturn, the team is in the playoff race in the Western Conference and is currently tied for third the Pacific Division with 59 points, the same number of points as the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers.

With just under a month to go before the trade deadline, the Ducks will definitely want to improve their chances of making the playoffs and Pat Verbeek, the team's new general manager, may be interested in adding some veterans by March 21st.

This means that some young Ducks players could be available for a trade and there is one quite well known to hockey fans in Quebec, Maxime Comtois.

After having had an excellent campaign last year, the Quebec forward is struggling this season with only 6 points in 30 games. As TVA Sports journalist LA Lariviere mentioned via his Twitter account, Comtois was a healthy scratch (again) during his team's most recent game, during the visit of the San José Sharks. He was accompanied on the press gallery by another name well known to Habs fans.

Well ok, I'm not saying that these two players will be traded to Montreal by March 21st, but Pat Verbeek could well look at the Canadiens to add depth to his team and a player like Artturi Lehkonen could certainly interest him.

It is clear that a player like Maxime Comtois would fit perfectly with the new philosophy of Habs coach Martin St-Louis.

As for Kaiden Guhle's older brother, Brendan, his possible arrival in Montreal would be perfect to mentor his younger brother, considered one of the organization's top prospects.
