Junior Team Canada forward Connor Bedard wowed the crowd last night with four goals. Canada finally crushed Austria 11-2.

While the 16-year-old became the youngest player to do so in the history of the tournament, he once again showed the world how talented he is.

Born in 2005 in British Columbia, Bedard is expected to be the first overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Speaking to 91.9 Sports, former scout Simon Boisvert has some doubts about the impact Bedard will have in the National Hockey League.

"Can a 5-foot-9 center really be a franchise player?"

It's true to say that the Regina Pats forward isn't the most physically imposing, but can that really prevent him from having a successful NHL career?

Whoever is lucky enough to select him in the draft will be getting their hands on an extremely talented player who has speed, agility and great hands.

Take Patrick Kane, for example. Despite his small stature of 5 feet 10 inches, the Blackhawks forward is probably the best American in history.

Other small players like Johnny Gaudreau or Alex DeBrincat are making their mark in the Bettman circuit despite their small size.

One thing is for sure, Connor Bedard has a lot of talent and it's a safe bet that his future team will build around him. We can't wait to see what kind of career he will have!
