The New York Islanders and Lou Lamoriello have built something solid since the hiring of Barry Trotz, considered by many to be the best head coach in the National Hockey League. Trotz has brought a culture to this team.

In Lamoriello's case, he has added important elements to his group, while not neglecting an important part of it, leadership. With the additions of Zach Parise and Zdeno Chara, two old timers, he has solidified one of the most important facets of winning a championship: leadership.

NO, Chara and Parise aren't able to put up as many points as they used to, but they do provide a vital dose of leadership and professionalism.

That being said, the defense needs to be more active as right now, only (almost) Noah Dobson is moving the puck and getting the offense going. The former QMJHL product will need some support in order for this team to perform up to expectations.

Hampus Lindholm's name has been linked to the team in the past, but he could come back in the rumors of being sent to the "Islanders". Lindholm, 27, has been in the showcase for the past two years and he remains exactly what "old Lou" is looking for.

Lindholm pockets an average salary of $5,205,556 through the end of this season. He'll become an unrestricted free agent (UFA) after that, so with that avenue, the Ducks will certainly be able to retain some of the Swede's salary. Lou, it's time to pass "GO" in order to claim $200!
