SURPRISE: The CH announces its starting goaltender to kick off the season, and both goalies weren't expecting it
We have our first big surprise of the season.
The Montreal Canadiens just announced that it's Jake Allen who will be in net to start the season tomorrow in Toronto. Wow!
So, it's ultimately him who won the position of the Habs' number one goalie, and not Samuel Montembeault.
From their recent comments, clearly, neither of them expected it. (even Allen)
"Jake Allen will be the starting goaltender against the Maple Leafs tomorrow night!"
Do you like this decision?
Details to follow.
