Once again this year, the Arizona Coyotes are having a miserable season, ranking 29th overall in the NHL.

Not surprisingly, the organization will be selling when the trade deadline arrives. As reported by Annie St-Onge of RumorsandTransaction.com, the Coyotes may be tempted to let go of their number one goaltender, Karel Vejmelka.

A big surprise considering how solid he has been since the beginning of his NHL career.

At least that's what Sportsnet reporter Jeff Marek reported. He also added that several teams would be interested in the Coyotes' goaltender because of his very affordable salary and his young age.

"If the deal is right, it looks like the Arizona Coyotes would part with goalie Karel Vejmelka. He's having a wonderful season, with a two-year contract at just $2.7 million. It would be a great deal for the teams."

He is a young goalie of great promise and already established as a number one.

Among those interested teams are the New Jersey Devils, as according to Alex Chauvancy of The Hockey Writers, the team would like to add depth in front of the net. Despite Vitek Vanecek's excellent season, the holding of his assistant, Mackenzie Blackwood, is far from satisfying the organization and the possible addition of Vejmelka would reassure the Devils, who could then count on a great number one B goalie, let's say.

In addition, the Coyotes could get excellent value in return for the 25-year-old goaltender and that could give the organization a better chance of winning the infamous Connor Bedard lottery.

To be continued.
