We've been waiting for this one for several days. It's finally official! The Boston Bruins have announced that they have extended forward Taylor Hall's contract for four seasons. He will earn $24 million during this period, or $6 million annually per season.
The Calgary native was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres along with Curtis Lazar on April 12 in exchange for forward Anders Bjork and a second round pick. Hall has found his home in Boston and he had great success with the Bruins, surrounded by established veterans.
He had a total of 14 points, including 8 goals, in 16 regular season games. He also added his name to the scoreboard on five occasions in 11 playoff games.
Both parties seem very happy with the turn of events. A little stability and balance around him won't hurt the 29-year-old forward.
