The Laval Rocket organization traded forward Jake Lucchini to the Belleville Senators in return for future considerations. You could say that this one was literally given to the Senators...
The 26-year-old has played a total of 36 games with the Rocket since 2019-2020, collecting 11 points in the process. He was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 20, 2020.
According to Anthony Marcotte, he was the best player of the Rocket against the Belleville Senators last week. The Rocket loses the services of a good support player and a good person. Still according to Marcotte, Lucchini was simply a victim of a surplus of forwards in the Laval Rocket.
Hopefully, he won't come back to haunt the Rocket too often, as he will be playing in the same division as the Canadiens' AHL club. To be continued...
