See an excerpt from the official press release just issued by the Montreal Canadiens organization:
"The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have traded Rocket defenseman Josh Brook to the Trois-Rivières Lions in the ECHL." - Montreal Canadiens, in conjunction with the Rocket
Brook, 22, is having a really rough season in Laval, and has had to skip a lot of times. He has 0 points in 6 games and a negative differential of -5.
The Habs 56th overall pick in 2017 was, at one point, among the organization's top prospects on the blue line, but he's clearly been outplayed.
He was indeed quite promising, but now his future in Montreal looks very uncertain. Injuries have unfortunately slowed him down considerably, but he is still young so it will be interesting to watch his progress in Trois-Rivières.
Does this personnel move herald another one, will a Habs defenseman be sent back to Laval soon? That will be something to watch today.
