At his media availability yesterday, Ryan Poehling mentioned that he was only expecting to play in Saturday's game at the Bell Centre against the Ottawa Senators. However, everything suggests that the Habs decided otherwise.
At this morning's practice, the young American was in the middle of Lukas Vejdemo and Alex Belzile. Dominique Ducharme would have decided to give him more chances to show what he's made of.
Also, here is what the lineup will look like against the Senators in Kanata tonight:
This will be Sami Niku's first start for the Montreal Canadiens, who has been paired with Gianni Fairbrother.
Jan Mysak, Kaiden Guhle and Michael Pezzetta, who had a strong game on Monday, will have a chance to impress once again.
The trio of Drouin, Dvorak and Anderson will also be in the lineup, as they were the spoils of war against the Toronto Maple Leafs earlier this week.
