The Montreal Canadiens players are not as down as we think!

Habs players had a practice at around noon, two days before facing Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.
Dominique Ducharme's team defeated the Nashville Predators this Saturday by a score of 6-3. It was probably the best offensive effort of the 2021-2022 campaign.
While many think the Habs players are down about their fate, they don't give off such a vibe. They had a little shootout competition, in which they had a lot of fun. They looked like kids playing hockey at the local rink.
Against all odds, it was Michael Pezzetta who seemed to have won the shootout competition, hence the celebration from all the players. A great moment for the team before they hit the road.
Yes, the team has only accumulated five victories in twenty games, but at some point you have to see the light at the end of the tunnel. They have to build on that. Plus, with all of the injuries coming back soon, it has to be a little motivation for them.
