The Montreal Canadiens announced this morning that Mike Hoffman will miss the entirety of the Montreal Canadiens training camp due to a lower body injury. However, Hoffman is also a doubtful case for the start of the season. The forward could miss a few games at the beginning of the campaign.
He had suffered an injury before arriving in town. He had been getting treatment here, so he returned to the ice, but all indications are that he would have aggravated his injury.
Joel Edmundson, meanwhile, will not miss much time according to Ducharme. He should be able to return to practice with his teammates soon. In fact, he skated solo this morning.
As for Carey Price, he failed his physical tests when he arrived at the Habs camp. However, rest assured, he will be in for the first game of the season.
Dom Ducharme's ultimate plan is for Carey Price to play a pre-season game, which would be very surprising.
Brendan Gallagher, who missed the start of training camp due to family reasons, should be back on Saturday. He will be the only one wearing an "A" on his jersey throughout the season. The other assistants to the captain will alternate between them.
