In the most recent game against the Ottawa Senators, we saw a special situation and a great story as young Owen Beck was called up and played his first career NHL game.
Over the past few hours, there have been many rumours that Kent Hughes may call up another player currently in the junior ranks for tonight's game.
This is a story we have been watching closely.
There seemed to be a real possibility that Joshua Roy could be recalled by the CH before tonight's game, but the verdict is in.
Despite the fact that both the Montreal Canadiens and the Laval Rocket are dealing with (very) many injuries, the team will simply dress eleven forwards and will not be calling up Joshua Roy.
"Could Joshua Roy in turn be subject to an emergency recall?
According to TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie, there are no plans to recall the Sherbrooke Phoenix forward for Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators in Montreal."
That's what Renaud Lavoie mentioned yesterday, and it's just been confirmed.
"Joshua Roy will not be recalled by the Canadiens. The reason is that Christian Dvorak is healthy and will be at his position against the Sens." We suspected as much since Dvorak was on the ice with his teammates this morning, but it's now confirmed.
Remember that Dvorak played on the wing during the most recent game of his team. A file to follow.
Here are the eleven "healthy" CH forwards:
Rem Pitlick
Nick Suzuki
Josh Anderson
Evgenii Dadonov
Kirby Dach
Mike Hoffman
Christian Dvorak
Jesse Ylonen
Rafael Harvey-Pinard
Alex Belzile
Michael Pezzetta
Good game!
