The verdict is in on Michael Pezzetta's future in Montreal

On this very important day for free agents and restricted free agents, Kent Hughes just settled the Michael Pezzetta case!
"Pezz" has just signed a one season contract with the Canadiens, a pact worth $750,000, but more importantly, a one time deal!

"Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes announced Monday that he has reached an agreement with forward Michael Pezzetta on the terms of a one-season, one-piece contract worth $750,000.
Pezzetta played 51 games with the Canadiens in 2021-2022, collecting 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists). The 24-year-old forward led the team with 81 penalty minutes. Pezzetta played in his first career NHL game on November 2 against Detroit and scored his first career goal on November 14 at Boston.
The Toronto, ON native also played 8 games with the Laval Rocket in the American league this season where he collected 3 goals and 3 assists while serving 16 penalty minutes.
The 6'1", 216 lb. forward has 13 goals and 12 assists in 115 career AHL games with the Rocket.
Pezzetta was the Canadiens' sixth-round pick (160th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft."
