Olli Juolevi, who had become a distraction for the Vancouver Canucks, was traded by Jim Benning on Sunday. Juolevi leaves Vancouver for the warm sun of Florida, while Noah Juulsen and forward Juho Lammikko make the opposite trip.

Benning seems satisfied to have settled this thorny issue as the regular season begins.

"We are happy to welcome Noah and Juho to Vancouver. We also want to thank Olli for his years of service to the Canucks organization and wish him well in his future endeavors," said Benning.

So former Montreal Canadiens first-round pick Noah Juulsen comes into the fold from Surrey, British Columbia. Surrey is stuck on Vancouver, so the Canucks were certainly the 24-year-old's youth team.

For the Panthers, not surprisingly, the organization just picked up their 3rd top-5 draft pick in a matter of months. Juolevi is able to produce offensively in the lower league, but in the National Hockey League, he still hasn't found his landmarks, so let's hope he finds them in Florida.

In Lammikko's case, he remains a 25-year-old marginal player...until proven otherwise.
