Kent Hughes has confirmed that Ben Chiarot will be traded by the trade deadline, and one of the favorite teams to get their hands on the veteran d-man definitely seems to be the New York Rangers.
Unsurprisingly, we learned yesterday that Hughes and Gorton are very interested in the prospects pool of the Rangers, builded in large part by a certain Jeff Gorton.
And the Rangers are very interested in Chiarot.
Several observers therefore launched trade proposals, it's always very entertaining to put yourself in the shoes of the GM, and this is particularly the case of Francis Noël.
We know that Chiarot will cost: at least a first-round pick and possibly another pick or another prospect.
In the case of Noël, here is his trade proposal :
Montreal receive: First-round pick + Julien Gauthier
New York receive: Ben Chiarot
Would you do it?
- Gauthier, 24, is from Pointe-aux-Trembles and was drafted 21st overall in 2016. He had 6 points in 36 games this season with the Rangers and was productive in the AHL at the start of his career.
