We finally know the meaning of Carey Price's emotional post
In the last few hours, Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price posted a curious message on social media:
Many fans and observers have noticed that it really looks like a publication to announce an unofficial retirement.
The message itself says a lot, but the image is not to be overlooked. We did some research and here's what we learned.
To accompany his emotional text, Carey posted a photo (on the road) of his cowboy hat, complete with feather. What does it mean?
We finally know the answer.
The cowboy hat with the feather is a symbol of honor and accomplishment. It's also a sense of accomplishment.
Here is some other information we were able to find:
1. As a symbol of honor
A cowboy may choose to wear a feather in the hat because he wants to show his pride as an individual who has accomplished something significant.

Anyway, there may be several meanings, but it really fits what we thought, at first glance.
It looks like an unofficial retirement announcement.
Either way, thanks for everything Carey, you should be proud! What a solid legacy for the Montreal Canadiens, thanks for the last fifteen years and thanks for the 2021 playoff run!
Again, we'd like to say that we shouldn't try to read too much into his message here, and we shouldn't put words in his mouth, but it really seems to speak volumes about his future in the NHL.
