The acquisition of Rem Pitlick by the Habs in January of this year can be described as a daylight robbery.
Since his arrival with the team, not only has he played great field hockey, but he has become somewhat of an untouchable in the lineup.
No. 32 will be a compensated free agent at the end of the season, and the two analysts didn't quite agree on a possible contract that Kent Hughes might give him.
You give it a two- or three-year contract, at 1.2 or 1.3 per year. - J-P Bertrand
I would give him more than that. Quickly as well I would give him like 2 to 2.5 million. Let's put in a full season, 16 points in 23 games, I'm not good at math, but that's going to be about 50 points. There are 50 point scorers in the NHL, but there are not many. - Marc-André Perreault
It must be said that at that price, it would be a real bargain for the team's management. It remains to be seen if Pitlick will be able to maintain such a pace for a full season, but we have to admit that for now, he is giving or much more than expected to the Habs.
