Arber Xhekaj Absent from Practice Today, Canadiens Will Hold Press Conference Shortly
We just received an official announcement from the Montreal Canadiens organization. As the team prepares to face the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at 7:00 PM, defenseman Arber Xhekaj is officially being given a rest day.
It seems likely he might miss tonight's game, but we will have a definitive answer during the press conference in the next few minutes.
Xhekaj will therefore not participate in today's practice as he is receiving treatment.

We will get the answer at that time.
Let's hope Xhekaj can suit up tonight because he's arguably playing the best hockey of his career right now.
Arber Xhekaj, aged 23, is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound left-handed defenseman.
He has accumulated 5 points in 30 games this season, with a -4 rating and 43 penalty minutes.
If Xhekaj has to miss the game against the Jackets, we can expect Jayden Struble to rejoin Martin St-Louis's lineup.
Details to follow.
