Arber Xhekaj Makes a Surprising Gesture for Cole Caufield and Fans are Loving It
Last night during the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj outdid himself.
We're used to seeing him enforce around his goalie, protecting his teammates, and we're accustomed to seeing him rough up opponents, but yesterday he did something for the first time.
Arber Xhekaj lets Cole Caufield take a few shots at a Leafs player for revenge
It's excellent:
«Arber Xhekaj holds back the Maple Leafs player so that Cole Caufield can take a few shots at him, after Jarnkrok pushed Cole in front of Sam Montembeault's net at the end of the 2nd period.» - Via Priyanta Emrith
It's been a really long time since we've seen this in a game, in fact, it was probably a first!
Arber Xhekaj outright held Calle Jarnkrok (without hitting him) to allow Cole Caufield to take a few shots at him for his own revenge.
Nothing too dangerous, but it really made us laugh.
Don't change, Arber!
