Young defenseman David Reinbacher skated alone, and he seems to be in great shape.
It's starting to feel like his return to play could happen much earlier than expected, which is fantastic news for him.
Check out the footage shared by RDS:
As Maxime Truman mentions, Reinbacher underwent surgery only four months ago, making today's progress truly impressive.
He was expected to miss 5 to 6 months of action, but everything suggests it will be much closer to 5 months-or perhaps even earlier!
Clearly, injuries are healing faster and faster within the Canadiens organization.
Following Patrik Laine's early return, all signs point to young Reinbacher possibly doing the same.
David Reinbacher, 20 years old, is a 6 foot 3, 207-pound right-handed defenseman who was drafted 5th overall in 2023 by the Montreal Canadiens.
Last season, he recorded 5 points in 11 games with the Laval Rocket (+6 differential) as well as 11 points in 35 games with Kloten HC.
We're really excited to see what the future holds for him, especially if he surprises everyone and finishes the season strong with Pascal Vincent and the Laval Rocket.
A solid playoff run in the AHL could be hugely beneficial for the young defenseman.
This is definitely a story to follow.
