A live press conference from Brossard for the Canadiens

As the team prepares to play back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, the atmosphere within the club currently seems excellent.

We love to see it.

During this press conference, Martin St-Louis notably spoke about the necessary adjustments for the power play to accommodate Patrik Laine and Cole Caufield, who both deserve to be on their strong sides.

«We are learning how to manage all this.»

Martin St-Louis

In short, his goal is to ensure that both Laine and Caufield have the best possible opportunities.

He also mentioned that Patrik Laine's incredible shot is not a gift but the result of hard, rigorous work, a lifetime of effort to perfect his craft!

St-Louis gave a lot of credit to his Finnish forward, even though Laine was tough on himself:

He admitted that Laine needs to give a bit more at 5-on-5, but he firmly believes that it will come with time.

«He's not wrong when he says he'd like to do better at 5-on-5.»

Martin St-Louis, on Patrik Laine

A story to follow.
