Canadiens Journalist Tony Marinaro Angrily Calls Out Josh Anderson

Josh Anderson's current season is proving to be challenging. Despite his efforts, he seems unable to produce offensively. His 18 points in 63 games in the 2023-2024 season fall far short of what one might expect from a player of his caliber.

Although he had a good December, with 9 points in 13 games and winning the Molson Cup trophy, everything halted with the arrival of the new year. Since January 1, he has only accumulated 7 points in 29 games...

The CH's number 17 recently spoke with the excellent Arpon Basu of The Athletic. Anderson was very transparent in his remarks, even saying that he hasn't felt the need to consult the team's mental performance coach, Jean-François Ménard.

"I haven't really thought about it, to be honest with you. You need a lot of things going on in your mind to be in that situation. I mean, obviously, this year has been difficult, no doubt. I'm sure there are things that could help." - Josh Anderson

In his excellent article, Basu notes that Joel Armia and Cayden Primeau have sought help from this type of coach, and it seems to be working very well for them, as their performances have been excellent lately.

Anderson's transparency was quite shocking to Tony Marinaro. He expressed his anger on BPM Sports, wondering what more Anderson needed to see someone.

Meanwhile, Georges Laraque and Stéphane Gonzalez believe Anderson should have simply lied and said he was seeing one.

Did Anderson make a mistake in the media by telling the truth? It's odd to say, but given the reactions, it seems so...

One can only hope that Anderson will soon realize and ask for help!
