Surprising statement from Corey Perry about the Montreal Canadiens and Cole Caufield
Over the past few hours and in the context of his game against the Montreal Canadiens, former player of the organization, Corey Perry, had some kind words for the Habs in general, and especially for Cole Caufield:
"Cole, that's Cole. He's always laughing!"
Corey Perry and Cole Caufield spent some time together, yesterday.
The 38-year-old forward hasn't forgotten Montreal and is convinced that the Canadiens are in good hands with Caufield and Suzuki as leaders."
- Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports
A nice gesture made by Perry towards Caufield (and vice versa).
It's incredible how much of an impact Perry has had in Montreal and on the youngsters, despite his short stint with the organization.
He mentioned that it will always be special for him to face the Canadiens, and he clearly will always maintain a special connection with some of the team's players. (like Cole Caufield, Jake Evans, and Nick Suzuki)
It's great to see that he spent time with Cole yesterday.
Perry, 38, has an impressive 17 points, including 9 goals in 37 games this season. Under the circumstances, that's indeed very solid for him.
Since joining the Edmonton Oilers, he's scored 5 goals and 8 points in 21 games.
