Cole Caufield Honors Johnny Gaudreau with a Beautiful Gesture Ahead of Game Against the Leafs
Montreal Canadiens forward, Cole Caufield, has just made another small, special gesture to honor his friend Johnny Gaudreau.
It says a lot about their beautiful friendship.
As you know, to pay tribute to Gaudreau, Caufield changed his number from 22 to 13, the number worn by the one known as «Johnny Hockey.»
Plus, the young Canadiens forward has had an incredible start to the season, with 10 goals in 14 games.
But that's not all.

As shared by the Habs organization moments ago on their official page, you can now also see «ELOC» on Caufield's official sticks, which was the nickname Johnny Gaudreau gave Cole.

It's a subtle but deeply meaningful change.
It's so touching to see how close Gaudreau and Caufield were, and it's wonderful to see Cole paying tribute to his friend in such a heartfelt way, especially after his friend passed away tragically a few months ago.
At 23 years old, Caufield is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound forward who became a good friend of his idol, Johnny Gaudreau.
The 15th overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2019 has accumulated 160 points, including 91 goals, in 219 career games in the NHL.
This season, he indeed has 10 goals and 1 assist (11 points) in 14 games.
