As we reported in the last few minutes, Dach was missing today, as he was given a day for treatments.
So far, there was nothing concerning, especially since players rarely miss games after just a day of treatments.
However, in Dach's case, it could unfortunately be hiding something more worrisome.
It started with a response from Martin St-Louis during his daily press conference. Normally, he would have simply said that "Dacher" needed a day of treatments and would be back tomorrow, but that's not what he mentioned in the last few minutes.
Here's what he answered.
No, that's not reassuring at all.
To add more fuel to the fire, here's what David Calabretta from the reputable TFP network just reported.
Without saying it's serious, Dach clearly seems to be injured.
This is a situation to monitor closely in the coming hours for the Montreal Canadiens.
More details will follow.
Kirby Dach, only 23 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 221-pound forward. He was the third overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2019 (1st round) and has collected 100 points in 216 career games in the NHL.
Last season, he recorded 2 points in 2 games, and this season, 1 point in 4 games.
Update: The Canadiens have just released an official statement with more details.
Here it is:
