Rumor about Matvei Michkov: he had a serious meeting with the Canadiens, according to Anthony Martineau
A few days ago, a rumor surfaced regarding the young forward Matvei Michkov and the Montreal Canadiens.
According to some reports, Michkov supposedly had absolutely no interest in playing for the Habs, and he allegedly refused to be drafted by the Canadiens, which could explain why Kent Hughes called David Reinbacher's name at the 5th overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Michkov, who is indeed 19 years old, already has 3 points in 3 games this season with the Philadelphia Flyers, and it seems to be going very well for him under John Tortorella.
Don't be surprised if he racks up as many points as Connor Bedard did last season (61 points for Bedard in 2023-24).
Michkov was drafted 7th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2023, two spots behind David Reinbacher and the Montreal Canadiens.
