As you probably already know, the Blue Jackets paid a beautiful tribute to their former number 13 last night during the game against the Florida Panthers, and we won't forget this moment anytime soon.
What can we say about what they did during the opening faceoff, sending only four players onto the ice, leaving an "empty" spot at the left-wing position where Johnny Gaudreau would have normally been.
The pre-game ceremonies were indeed very moving.
This morning, a new video is circulating, in which Meredith Gaudreau shares an important message.
I'm still amazed by this woman's courage. She was there on the ice in Columbus and even took the time to record a video for the fans.
Here's the video in question.
She took the time to thank the fans for their support and wished them a great tribute evening.
I can't even imagine the courage it must have taken to record such a video and to attend last night's event in person, knowing that all eyes would be on her.
Meredith Gaudreau is truly remarkable.
Let's not forget that the Columbus Blue Jackets were defeated 4-3 by the Florida Panthers, and forward Sean Monahan scored a memorable goal in honor of his best friend.
Once again, what a magical moment!
