He keeps silencing his critics and impressing everyone, including his own head coach.
We've mentioned him several times, but there's one statement from Martin St-Louis that has practically become famous regarding young Hutson.
During training camp, with all his wisdom and rationality, the Canadiens head coach mentioned that this season would be a challenge for Lane Hutson, as he'd have to learn to play with the puck on his stick much less often.
He mentioned that Hutson would have fewer opportunities to do whatever he wanted with the puck, and it would be less easy for him to enter the offensive zone.
And yet, once again yesterday, Hutson proved his coach wrong.
It seems like he always has the puck on his stick, and entering the offensive zone is astonishingly easy for him.
Here's a very clear example.
It's so impressive.
St-Louis himself mentioned, during last night's press conference, that Hutson keeps surprising him and proving him wrong.
At the moment, everything seems so easy for the 5-foot-10 young defenseman.
What an extraordinary young hockey player.
It seems to be only a matter of time before he earns more minutes at 5-on-5 and on the power play.
