With Luke Tuch and Lane Hutson, Kent Hughes had a lot of work to do at the end of the season, and it's far from over.

The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens seems determined to accelerate the rebuilding of the club, and he will make the necessary decisions in this regard over the next few weeks.

It started yesterday with the signing of Lane Hutson.

In short, it could continue today with the signing of another player from Boston University.

After Lane Hutson yesterday, Luke Tuch signed today by Kent Hughes and the CH?

Another prospect from the organization might indeed also sign his first professional contract.

Luke Tuch is very likely to sign an entry-level contract with the Canadiens today.

« It will be very interesting to see what the Canadiens decide to do with Luke Tuch by this weekend.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I would be a little surprised if he is not signed by the end of the week.

The Canadiens do not have this combination of size and speed. »

- Marco D'Amico

Tuch, who has been touted as being a truly extraordinary teammate by his head coach and teammates, is the younger brother of Alex Tuch. (an excellent NHL player)

Tuch, 22 years old, is a big forward at 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds. He was drafted in the second round in 2020 by the Montreal Canadiens (47th overall pick).

He amassed 30 points in 39 games this season at BU.
